Larch Street Kids Child Care Inc. is a not-for-profit organization run by a volunteer Board of Directors, elected by the membership of the corporation. The Board of Directors sets the governance policies for the Centre. The Executive Director reports to the Board and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Centre and for the supervision of staff.
Our Larch Street Site, located downtown, is open from 6:30am until midnight, perfect for the working family.
Our Alexander Kids, Beattie Kids, Princess Anne Kids and Northeastern Kids Sites are located inside their respective schools, easing the transition from day care to school.
Larch Street Kids Child Care Inc. provides quality care to children in a safe and secure environment where children are encouraged to grow socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually. Children participate in a variety of play to encourage this growth, but each child's individual needs and choices are considered.
The program is designed to promote self-esteem, self-discipline and independence while the children learn to respect others. We are inclusive, diverse and accepting of all families.
Larch Street Kids Child Care Inc. regularly reviews and revises programs to reflect changes in the Child Care and Early Years Act and ideologies on early childhood education and care.
The Executive Director ensures that parents are kept up-to-date on all childcare matters through regular newsletters and parent interviews.
